Abstract:

Security is an important and determining factor in using urban places. Nowadays, growing urbanization has created numerous social, economic and cultural problems for developing countries. Paying attention to citizens› security, and methods of improving it, has become one of the substantial priorities of urban professionals and experts. Criteria of security cognition and analysis across cities are so different, and given physical, functional and surroundings constituents they fluctuate. The present research aims at examining factors contributing to improvement of citizens› security in Sanandaj. As far as objective is concerned, the research is of applied type, and in terms of nature and methodology is considered descriptive-analytical. Questionnaire is used for gathering information. including plus residents of Sanandaj selected through cluster sampling in coincidence with simple sampling to respond to the questions.
