Reviewing the Impact of Polling on Performance of 111 Police; with concentration on Polls taken in Police Polling Centers and Commanders' Views
Crime prevention is among the missions of governments in the modern age. Governments are seeking to find avenues for mitigating crime rate in nonaggressive ways through utilizing various scientific and experimental approaches and tools. One of the platforms for achieving potential to prevent crime before its occurrence is conducting scientific and research studies. One of the branches of these studies is reviewing and assessing views of the public, officials and criminals regarding the relevant issues. The present research aims at measuring the effectiveness of polls taken by polling center on the performance of police forces, and the research intends to determine the level of productivity of NAJA managers based on the results of the polls. Obviously identifying the level of effectiveness of these researches on NAJA performance can be used as a base for crime prevention through using the results of the polls. The research is of survey type and has been conducted by distributing questionnaire among commanders and deputy commanders of specialized police forces all over the country; and the data was analyzed by SPSS. The present research does not rely on a specific theory, but it aims at describing the views of the statistical community regarding the issue in mind. However, some polling and performance assessment theories as well as social prevention from crime have been used as a guide.
