Investigating the relationship between attachment to parents and adolescents with emotional inhibition

Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between attachment to parents and adolescents in adolescents affiliated to Shirvan. This research is a descriptive and correlational study. The statistical population of all female high school students in the second year of Shirvan city in the academic year of 1395-1396, including 2,400 students, was 300 students. The sample consisted of 300 members of this society selected by cluster sampling from among high schools in Shirvan. To measure the variables of research Parental and Peer Assertiveness Dimensions (IPPA) and emotional control scale (ACS) were used. Data was analyzed by Pearson correlation test and multiple regression analysis with simple step-by-step method and t-test using SPSS software. The results indicate that there is a significant relationship between attachment to parents and peers with emotional inhibition. As a result, it can be concluded that attachment to parents plays an important role in controlling emotions in adolescents.
