Investigating the Interaction category in information seeking process based on Radical Change Theory: The case study of newcomer bachelor degree students of faculty of Education and Psychology of the University of Tabriz in cyberspace
The aim of the research is investigating Interaction category in information seeking process based on Radical Change Theory by studying the communications of newcomer bachelor students in Cyberspace.
The general approach of the research is Qualitative and the method is Grounded Theory. The population of the research was newcomer bachelor-degree-students of the faculty of Education and Psychology (University of Tabriz). The sampling method was snowball. Finally, the data was matured by points of 21 students. The data analyzed by MaxQDA.
After three levels of open, axial and selective coding, 9 conceptual categories, was identified. The identified conceptual categories were: the time of daily usage of virtual space, the motivation and aim of usage of virtual space, information search strategy, the impact of virtual space on internal emotion of people during usage and during information finding process, impact of environment on the way of information obtaining, the impact of personal characteristics on the way of information obtaining, interesting and attractive characteristics functions Internet, and the way of storing and usage of information resources.
One level of the complicated process of Information seeking is interaction which user during information stage and encountering with the system is demonstrated. The result of the research showed that that the main effective factors of the level are the environment and internal emotions of the user.
