Author(s):
Abstract:
Purpose
Identifying structural and content features of semantic digital libraries and providing a framework for evaluating these types of libraries.
Methodology
The evaluative method where all semantic digital libraries constitute the statistical population and the sampling include 2 semantic digital libraries of Greenstone 3 and Jerome. The data collection tools consist of researcher designed two checklists: one for identifying the structural features and the other one for identifying the content features of semantic digital libraries.
Findings
Greenstone 3 is ranked higher than Jerome in terms of structural and content features' evaluation criteria.
Conclusion
Greenstone3 is in high consistency with the checklist. Consequently, the 64 identified criteria are applied in the design of semantic digital libraries.Language:
