Scientometric study of the Iranian Medical Sciences systematic reviews

analyzing the Iranian medical sciences systematic reviews based on scientometric indicators is the purpose of this study. this study with quantitative approach and using scientometric technique and software analyzes the 382 systematic reviews in Iran Medical Sciences from 1970 to 14 June, 2016 in Web of Science database. in sum, Iranian researchers with indexing 421 systematic review articles are in the 22nd places among other countries, 382 out of these 421 articles are in the medical sciences field. Results show the fast rate of this type of articles since 2006 to 2015, most of the review articles indexed in General and internal medicine. At the point of scientific collaboration, Mashhad University of medical sciences produces most of the articles with researchers from other countries and United States, Italy, France and Germany has the significant role in producing Iranian medical sciences review articles, 6 out of 10 journals published most of the review articles belong to Iranian organizations. regarding to the importance of review articles in health domain policy making and clinical decisions and the growing world attention to these kinds of articles, suitable planning to publishing and producing these type of articles are necessary.
