Effect of Practice Schedules on Acquisition and Retention and Transfer Parameter Timing

This research was carried out to monitor effects of different practice schedules on acquisition, retention and transfer parameter timing and challenging current hypothesis regarding contextual interference effect about parameter learning in lab assignment. This research was quasi-experimental and Statistical group was right-hand boys in Kerman University. To do this test, 80 men participants (M=21.04 ±1.52) divided randomly in 4 groups; blocked, random and two combined practice group (blocked-random and randomblocked group). This test included performance of tasks with constant generalized motor program and variable timing parameter. The participants took apart after pre-test phase and accomplishing of 108 trial according practice group in retention and transfer tests. When the different test performed amount of absolute timing error (measure of accuracy and proficiency of parameterization) was calculated. Repeated measures Anova, followed tukey test and Analysis of variance used for analysing data (P≤0/05). Although result don’t show significant difference between practice schedules in acquisition phase, but in transfer and retention test despite of priority of combined practice groups relatively, amounts of absolute timing wasn’t different between practice groups. This findings show that changing parameter has not made obvious contextual interference effect and From Magil & Hall's viewpoint it supports lack of significant difference in assignment with similar motor program.
