A quality analysis of key qualifications training in Sanandaj Technical and Vocational Schools
This paper aims to examine the training quality of basic skills in Sanandaj’s vocational schools. As an appllied and quantitative research all 74 managers and trainers and 323 trainees were selected via classified sampling as the research samples. A standardized questionnaire with 32 items in a 5-point Likert scale was used to collect data. To analyze the findings, in addition to descriptive statistics, one sample T-test, paired T-test and confirmatory factor analysis were applied. The findings show that, despite the importance of training basic skills and competencies, the extent to which these skills are emphasized by technical and vocational schools' vocational training is not sufficient. Accordingly, the results of comparing the existing and desirable situation in training these skills show a significant gap between the current and the desired status in teaching basic skills in vocational and technical vocational schools. Also, the findings show that in vocational and technical vocational schools, responsibility training, teamwork and ability to adapt and flexibility are given priority over other dimensions.
