The Investigation of the Relationshipbetween “Status Consumption” and “Social Factors”
In this study at first the researchers have examined the status consumption and then they haveinvestigated the relationship between this consumption habit and social factors (consideringsocial comparison information, susceptibility to interpersonal information influence,susceptibility to interpersonal normative influences).This study has done among the studentsof Islamic Azad University, Tehran Science and Research Branch. The study has alsoanalyzed the findings gathered from 384 samples. To test the hypothesis the researchers haveused the spearman correlation coefficient formula and SPSS software. The results of thisstudy show a positive relationship between "attention to social comparison information,susceptibility to interpersonal normative influence" and "status consumption". There is notany relationship between "susceptibility to interpersonal information influence" and” statusconsumption" is another outcome of this research.
