Thematic analysis of the Political wings Tweets During the Iran protests on January 2017

The purpose of the article is to identify the main themes of elite’s tweets attributable to the political wings of Iran during the protests of January 2017. Becoming twitter as a streamer media in Iran, and the tendency of political elite and organizations to use it in recent years, especially in those events, is the best the reason for choosing tweeter as a subject to study. The main question is how the Iranian political wings were explained the events of January 2017 in their tweets? The study is a qualitative research method implemented by MAXQDA software using thematic analysis method. The statistical population is the tweeted messages of some political elites attributable to political wings in regard to these events. Findings of the research showed that the political wings elites, by some varieties have explained those events as protest with the prevailing public nature, which has caused due to economic problems and political obstruction as the most important internal causes; the spread of unrest in the country has been the most significant consequence of the protests; and the immediately attention to economic claims as well as political demands is the best way to be get rid of that circumstances.
