The comparison the effect of six weeks McKenize and back school education exercises in patients with chronic non-specific low back pain
Backace is the one of the most common muscle skeletal disases kwon. The aim of this study was to comparison the effects of 6-weeks McKenzie and back school education exercises on pain, quality of life and movement control of patient’s with chronic non-specific low back pain.
45 paitients with chronic non-specific low back pain (mean age34.2±3.24years) were selected using the quebec questionnaire and were divided in three groups of McKenzie exercises (n=15), back school education program(n=15) and control(n=15). Lumajaki movement control test, Roland Morris questionnaire and visual analoge scales were respectively used to measure movement control, quality of life and low back pain at the base line and after 6 weeks exercising. Analysis of covariance and Sidak post hoc tests were used to data analysis at a significant level of 0.05 in SPSS software (Version22).
The result indicated that Wells’ metacognitive therapy on reducing anxiety, increasing happiness, improving emotional intelligence and modifying strategies cognitive emotional regulation have been significant effects.
Findings of this study revealed that both of McKenzie and back school education exercises are effective in patient with non-specific chronic low back pain. To obtain more conclusive results, future reaserch should investigate the effects of long-term McKenzie and back school education exercises in the treatment of patients with chronic non-specific low back pain with its large sample size.
