Abstract:

The most important philosophical question in Greek and Islamic philosophy is to discuss existence.  Each philosopher has expanded its ontology, depending on its field and its time, and made it rich.  Among them, the role of Plato, Plotinus, and Mulla Sadra is indisputable in presenting an exegetical interpretation of being.  In this thesis, while presenting a report on the history of Plato, Plotinus, and Mulla Sadra's ontology, their ontological framework is examined.  Plato's ontology in the form of the idea world, the definition of their ideas, their degrees and their rulings, and in Plotinus's open ontology in the form of ideas with a distinct difference with Plato's ideology, and Mulla Sadra's ontology, like his definition of existence and non-existence,  Examples of existence, types of existence, levels of existence, and ... descriptive-analytical method have been studied and compared together and the points of sharing and difference of their ontology are analyzed and explained.
