In this research, the feasibility of increasing the density of construction according to the reception capacity of the road network in Bahar area of Tabriz metropolitan has been investigated. In order to achieve this goal, by estimating traffic volume in each of the study areas of the study area, the identification and determination of the points of the network of roads with shortages or surplus capacities are considered, so that areas with surplus congestion and areas with potential for increasing density Determine in the scope of the study. The data of this research have been collected using field studies and for analyzing these data, AIMSUN and ARCGIS software have been used. According to the results of the research in the present situation, the main roads of the study area have a traffic problem and Since the separation of transit and production traffic in the short term and without the development of the arterial network and the improvement of the network of passages around the area is not possible. Therefore, the bahar area does not have saturated passage reception capacity and the ability to increase construction density.
