Maturity Level of Knowledge Management in the National Library and Archives of Iran (NLAI) based on KMMM Model
Knowledge management maturity is measured based on Siemens model and solutions for improvement are recommended.
100 NLAI employees evaluated the stage of the organization’s maturity for KM by responding to a researcher-made questionnaire.
All of the components of knowledge management maturity except education and training were below the average. Education and training was at level five. The components of leadership, culture, and information technology were at level two, whereas the components of rewards and incentives, recording employees' experiences, application of knowledge, staffs' skills and management are at level one. Access to knowledge and experiences has not been implemented in the organization. Overall maturity was at level one.
