Analysis of Parliamentary Elections; Emphasis on the Sixth Circuit of Buin Zahra
Elections are seen as a symbol of people's participation and democracy. Parliamentary elections are also considered to be the most important and fundamental commonality of all democracies. For this reason, the issue of parliament and the legislature and respect for the people's vote have been a fundamental principle in most cultures and countries. In the Islamic Republic of Iran too, the parliamentary elections have been considered the center of popular sovereignty since the outbreak of the Islamic Revolution, as Imam Khomeini considers the parliament to be at the top. The Sixth Parliamentary Elections, held in March 1999, had certain components, both national and local. This study analyzes the elections in the city of Boyin Zahra. This study considers the role of local elements such as local and political elites, party factors, religious, ethnic, linguistic.
