An in-depth Analysis of Imam Reza's Attitudes towards Ma'mun's Psychological Operation Techniques on his Succession

This paper seeks to answer these questions, what techniques did Ma'mun used during the succession of Imam Reza (PBUH)? And what was the reaction of Imam? Using a descriptive-analytical method, the findings indicate that the psychological operations techniques of Ma'mun's during the succession of Imam included: creating tension, misleading the people, indirect induction, separating, reversing, and combining right and wrong. Imam Reza (PBUH)'s response to these techniques included: enlightening, awaking, critical reaction, frankness, conditional acceptance of successorship, scientific debates, and spreading Shi'ism.
