Identification and Prioritization of Freight Transport Policies in Tehran Grand Bazaar

Coordination between the concept and structure of Tehran Grand Bazaar and the current function of it, is the most important action in order to returning discipline in movements and freight transport in Bazaar. In the current situation, because of high density of business parcels and freight carriers and pedestrians, the level of service in Bazaar is in the worst situation ever. In this study, first of all in order to achieve a precise perception of freight transport in Bazaar, site investigation for freight carriers in all ways and gates of Bazaar has done and the number of freight carriers, type of goods and their weight have been estimated. In the second place, be the knowledge of problems in Bazaar, policies and strategies were investigated. Finally based on analytical hierarchy system and through asking of specialists, the policies were prioritized. As a matter of fact, emitting of stores, workshops and looms from Bazaar has got the first place as importance and preference.
