Assessing Global Capital Market structure for anti-Armor Missile and the Reasons behind the Low Position of Iranian Defense Industries in Export of the Products

At the present, modern weaponry including anti-Armor missile systems are of the knowledge-based products which are of a key part in ground wars and global business. In the same vein, this paper seeks to study and introduce the structure of the market for anti-armor systems, find the balance of Iran in producing the systems and find why Iran places not in the appropriate position to export the system in the world.  This study revealed, on the one side, the trade of this system is on the rise in world and on the other side, the related market structure is tending to faulty competition.  The Herfindal-Hireschman for the system’s market hits 4834 which indicates that it is of a multilateral market. The balancing studies, conducted upon TOPSIS, indicate that the Iranian defense industry generally ranks the 3rd and technologically, it grades 8th in relation to anti-armor missiles. As Iran possesses no remarkable place among the exporters of the mentioned product, this study targets the reasons behind the lack of appropriate International position for Iran in world in relation to this product. The method exploited in the study is applied in terms of purpose, and descriptive in type which gathers data in quantity and with questionnaire. According to the viewpoints of experts, it was found that factors like sanction on weaponry sale, weak marketing and weak recognition of weapon market structure weigh utmost for the lack of Iran’s appropriate position in the market.
