Designing for user interfaces of a simulated device for paddling sports: An integrated approach on universal and interaction design

Abstract:
The present study was conducted to achieve Ergonomic sports equipment with the ability to simulate some of the canoe courses. Target group is a professional athletes and beginners, with limitations to practice. Considering the rapid and abundant effects of rowing movements on reducing obesity, especially in the upper and lower abdomen, the use of this device can be useful in the health of users. In this cross-sectional case study, information was obtained through field study, interviewing and observation of athletes' performance. The design approach was based on the principles of an integrated interactive design-integrated approach that, after identifying the conditions, characteristics, user requirements and explaining design requirements, a functional model was constructed. Then it was evaluated by experts and athletes. The most important features of the product include: home-use, the ability to assemble, multipurpose, and simulation of several rowing courses, ease of operation, and proper interaction.
