Typology of audio-visual themes on digital game media

The main objective behind this research Digital games are the converging point of numerous arts like literature, painting, architecture, cinema, animation, Music… in a single art media. This paper has been written using descriptive, analytical and comparative approach and developmental objective and its qualitative findings are based on data gather in referral way. work is to find out the characteristics of the digital games which influence the user, audio- visually. The paper tries to find answer to this question that in general what kinds of themes are used in audio-visual digital games. The researchers of the game studies talk about three light visual, abstract and realistic themes in digital games. The most important categories of the themes used in digital games are personality designs, object designs, playing environment designs, visual effects designs. Meanwhile, the sounds used in digital games are also divided into two categories of dynamic and non-dynamic sounds. Sound in the digital games have interactive nature and active role of the player is important in all stages of the game. There are 5 audio elements in digital games namely dialog, nonverbal visual element, audio effects, environmental sounds and music. The secret of a highly appealing and successful digital game in attracting audience, could found in proper understanding of these themes. When talking about the future of visual themes of the digital games, usually topics such as augmented reality and cyber reality are brought up. One of future developments in the field of themes of visual games, is probably using Randi or Zaya music in such games.
