Designing a transformational leadership model with the role of mediator of trust in government agencies

Abstract:
The purpose of this study is to determine the role of multilateral trust in the impact of transformational leadership on the satisfaction and performance of government agencies. The research method is descriptive of survey type. The statistical population of the study consisted of all the staff of the municipality of the 5th district of Tehran in 265 cases. Using simple random sampling method, 157 individuals were selected as the sample by Cochran sampling formula. The data gathering tool was a questionnaire of Brown and et al. (2013). Validity of both questionnaires was confirmed by the experts and the reliability of the questionnaire was confirmed by considering the Cronbach's alpha coefficient. Descriptive statistics and inferential statistics (structural equation model) were used for analysis. Findings of the research showed that the perceptions of supervisor change leadership on job satisfaction have no significant effect. The results also showed that the team's perceptions of supervisor's leadership change have a positive and significant effect on team performance and job satisfaction of Tehran municipal district 5 employees. The results also indicate the role of mediators of trust in supervisors and trust in the team on the relationship between people's perceptions of transformational leadership and the team's perceived transformational leadership with job satisfaction and team performance. The results also showed that the perceptions of supervisor change leadership on job satisfaction with mediating role of trust in supervisors has a positive and significant effect
