The Relationship between Attachment Style and Attitude Among Undergraduate Students` of Tehran University

The purpose of this research and study is to survey the relationship between attachment styles and marital attitude among undergraduate students` of Tehran university. Base on statistical regulation 388 persons were selected as a sample. After discarding failed questionnaires, 377 sheets were analyzed. To collect data the following major means and sources have been used:a) Collins and Read’s questionnaire of adult attachment which includes eighteens questions' Likert scaling tests. It also covers three items theme: Dependency, Closeness and Anxiety. b)       Pre marriage inventory which includes forty-five (Yes/No questions) tests. To analyze data, descriptive statistic (abundance ratio, percentage, average and chart) and to test research questions, inferential statistic (Correlation regression of ) are used. The results indicated that:1)        There is a significant relationship between secure attachment style and marital attitude. Marital attitude can be predicted by attachment style score. 2) There is no significant relationship between Avoidance attachment style and marital attitude 3) There is no significant relationship between Anxiety  attachment style and marital attitude 4)There is a significant relationship between Secure attachment style and conflict resolution attitude. 5) There is a significant relationship between Avoidance attachment style and conflict resolution attitude. 6) There is no significant relationship between Anxiety attachment style and conflict resolution attitude.
