Construction and reforming of Moral character and the affect factors From Motahhari's Perspective
The "character" of man is a crystallization of all the elements which despite the vastness of its dimensions, the secret of human happiness is more tied to the moral and epistemological dimension. Therefore, the subject of "moral character" can be considered a sub-branch of issues in the psychology of ethics. But the important question here is whether moral character is formed before birth and is naturally present in the human body. If formation is acquired, what factors are effective in its formation and correction. If the moral character deviates for some reason, is it possible to correct it. Considering the above-mentioned questions and due to the importance of this issue, it was considered necessary to examine the answers to these issues from Motahhari's point of view. Some Western philosophers have a one-dimensional approach to this issue, for example, Jacob only believes in the role of authority. Battaly argues that moral character can only be shaped and modified by patterns. Kristja´nsson believes that theoretical wisdom or Sophia is the only important factor in reforming moral character. But since Motahhari is a comprehensive thinker and has a broad and comprehensive view of issues, in addition to making the issue of constructing and reforming moral character possible, it is influenced by various factors such as parents, self-purification, conscience, wisdom, faith. Patience and discretion, therefore, can be argued that his view on the subject is particularly comprehensive.
