Abstract:

In the present article, by reviewing the Islamic worldview, the convergence of beliefs and values and its role in moral education becomes clear and justified. In the common sense, values are a function of beliefs, and thus the convergence of beliefs and values seems natural. For example, monotheism clarifies the value of the monotheistic moral education and the avoidance of polytheistic morality. According to this harmony, one should be equipped with the monotheistic moral training by knowing God and believing in His oneness. Therefore, in the framework of understanding the theomorphic monotheism and divine wisdom, considering the close relationship that is present between beliefs and values, relying on each of the two realms is enough to evoke attention to the other realm. Due to the interactive relationship between ethics and beliefs, this type of convergence, especially in the realm of ethics, is regarded as axis of moral education and leads to the perfectionist movement of mankind and the strength and efficiency of moral education.
