Spatial Analysis of Security Indicators in the Border Regions (Case Study: the Boundary Region of Aras River)
Border security is always one of the important and practical issues in geographic studies, which not only did not go down over time due to its importance, but new criteria and issues have been added. According to the purpose of this research, it is of applied-developmental research type and has a descriptive-analytical nature according to the method of doing it. The method of data collection is documentary-survey, so that first, by studying theoretical foundations, views on the security of the border regions, related indicators were extracted and collected from formal and first-hand statistics of organization. Then, surveying methods (observation, interview and questionnaire) were used to collect first-hand data from the study region. Data analysis was carried out through a network analysis model and using Super Decision to implement the ANP model and Arc Gis software for spatial representation and analysis of the results. Through the analysis of network analysis, military and socio-cultural indicators as the main approach to implementing land-planning programs in the border region of Aras were presented. Among the six indicators assessed, military security with the coefficient (0.437) was the most important security dimension in the Aras border region. Socio-cultural security with a significance factor (230/0) was identified as the second most important priority. Political, economic, morphological and environmental security indexes were ranked with the importance factors (0.160), (0.87), (0.049) and (033/0) respectively.
