Investigating the effect of manager’s authority and strategic control on effectiveness of strategic planning in small and medium size industries
Today due to growing competition, the importance of strategic planning in organizations, is not secret for anyone And using it by the managers can have positive long-term results for organizations. This is very important especially for the small and medium industries, according to the role of this industry in the national economy. On the other hand identification of factors affecting the effectiveness of strategic planning has an important role in implementing and achieving the program's goals. This study aimed to investigate the effect of manager’s authority and strategic control over organizational policies, strategic flexibility and effectiveness of strategic planning in small and medium size industries and companies located in industrial areas in Kerman. The study was Survey Research and statistical society is managers’ working in companies located in the industrial areas of Kerman and the tool for data collection is questionnaire. Reliability for manager’s authority, strategic control, strategic flexibility, organizational policies and the effectiveness of strategic planning is obtained 0.882, 0.722, 0.866, 0.832 and 0.744 respectively. The result suggests that manager’s authority impact on strategic flexibility but has no effect on organizational policies. On the other hand, it was found that strategic control effects on organizational policies and Strategic flexibility and organizational policies also affect the effectiveness of strategic planning.
