The impact of power sources and bureaucrats-orientation in predicting burnout(Case study: Employees of Shiraz Tax Administration)
Burnout is one of the effective factors in reducing efficiency, loss of manpower and creating physical and psychological complications of organizational employees. Considering the importance of the role of human resources in each organization, this study has been conducted with the aim of explaining the burnout of employees and managers of Shiraz Tax Administration based on the tendency towards bureaucracy and power resources. The research method is descriptive-regression correlation and quantitative. The statistical population of the present study consists of all employees and managers of the Tax Affairs Department of Shiraz and 120 people are considered as the number of statistical samples. For data collection, three standard questionnaires of burnout, Maslash (1981), Dobrin Bureaucracy Tendency Questionnaire (1987) and Sharachim and Hinckin (1989) Power Resources Questionnaire were used. The results of the present study indicate that there is a negative and inverse relationship between bureaucracy tendency index and burnout and also organizational power sources cannot explain burnout. The analysis showed that the methods of evaluating human resources in the organization play a key role in mitigating the stresses experienced in the workplace. Therefore, the movement of the organization towards bureaucracy and optimal distribution of power, can be effective in reducing the burnout of employees and managers of the tax administration of Shiraz and increase the quality of services and productivity of the organization.
