The Companion of Consensus (Ashab-e Ijma) and Trustworthy Narrators’ Shaykhs

Allame Majlesi I was one of the first jurists who studied the knowledge of Rijal analytically and reflected on many issues of this field especially the issue of general ways of approval. His viewpoints had a great effect on Vahid Behbahani (his grandson) and developed a new approach toward this knowledge. Additionally, accepting or rejecting his viewpoints has a great effect on acceptance or rejection of hadiths of the four famous books and other sources of Shia hadith. Consisting of two sections, this article studies the viewpoint of allame Majlesi I about the companion of consensus (Ashab-e Ijma) and trustworthy narrators’ shaykhs. Each section starts with the definition of the subject and discussing all viewpoints and arguments. Finally, the viewpoint of allame Majlesi will be stated with its arguments and evidences.
