Liberating Action Based on the Thoughts of Taha Abdul Rahman
The Muslim community has never been "conceptually invaded " by Western thoughts as it has today. The purpose of this conceptual invasion is to oblige the Muslim community to specific concepts and to reshape the minds of Muslims in order to facilitate domination. The western modernity has deprived other nations of the legitimacy of intellectual dissent and, in dealing with others, has been overwhelmed by the moral obscenity of "transcendence," "domination" and "denial." This research uses a documentary-analytical method to examine the liberating action in the thoughts of Taha Abdul Rahman. In order to face this civilizational problem, he calls for an intellectual uprising and considers “religious experience" and "modernization of reason" as its conditions. “Renunciation”, „‟devotion‟‟, and „‟liberation‟‟ are the three aspects of liberating action on the Islamic community. Taha considers the three principles of "toleration", "confession", and "approval" to be insufficient for resolving the dispute; because these three principles cannot prevent the nation from seeking supremacy, pride and arrogance in interaction with other nations. Therefore, according to Islamic teachings, the moral virtues of "modesty", "moral jihad" and " wisdom " are regarded as liberating.
