Abstract:

The Holy Qur'an considers that the fulfillment of the promise of handing over the Holy Land to the Children of Israel is conditioned by their obedience and servitude to God, patience and righteousness. In other words, this promise is conditioned by the commitment of the Children of Israel to their covenants and promises and their obedience to the divine commands. Because the Children of Israel had not fulfilled of these the mentioned conditions and the had not obeyed the divine commands, this God’s promise (ownership and being successors) was not fulfilled except in a limited period that is, (the period of Prophet David and Prophet Solomon) and their claim on the land in later periods was unlawful. This explanation of the Holy Qur'an is contrasted to that of the Torah, despite the reports of the many instances of disobedience of the Children of Israel and the wrath of God in various times, at the way they behaved and the many cases of their breach of covenants and breaking of promises, still suggests that the Children of Israel are the ultimately the ownership of the Holy Land.
