comparing mothering between the point of view of Motahari and feminism

Mothering is one of the profound concept in feminist discourse that simon de Beauvoir pied attention to it. After expanding, feminist ideas in Iran, Motahari confronted this stream by explaining the characteristic of mothering and its status in Islam. This essay use qualitative content analysis to gain point of view of motahari to mothering. Mother from his point of view is founder of society because her action due to the development or regress of society. Result of mothering is identity and social status, these in addition to leisure cause women satisfaction. Unlike him; simon de Beauvoir mean mothering as the victim of human kind in individual dimension results alienation and in social dimension humble of women then causes dissatisfaction of women.
