The Effect of Anger Control Skills Training on Adolescents' Social Resiliency and Adaptation (Case Study: Clients of Center for Social Work and Counseling, Hamadan Province Police)

The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of anger training skills on Adolescents' Social Resiliency and Adaptation in Hamadan (referring to Clients of Center for Social Work and Counseling, Hamadan Province Police). In this study, a quasi-experimental research with unequal control group design was used. The target population of this study was all adolescents (boys and girls) referred to Center for Social Work and Counseling in Hamedan Province by January 1977 (N = 200). Cohen's sample of 30 individuals was selected and randomly assigned to control and experimental groups. In this study, two standard questionnaires, namely Conor and Davidson Resilience (2003) and Bell's Social Compatibility (1961), were used to collect the required data. Content validity and Cronbach's Alpha Coefficient were used to determine their validity. The values ​​of these questionnaires were 0.87 and 0.84, respectively. Descriptive and inferential statistics such as mean, percentage, Kalmogorov-Smirnov Test, multivariate analysis of covariance, and one-way ANOVA were used to test the hypotheses. The results of covariance analysis showed that anger control skills training significantly (P <0.0001) had a significant effect on adolescents' social resiliency and adaptation in Hamadan Province Police.
