The effects of communication skills training tends on the tendency toward dispute (Case study: comparing two groups of youth 35-28 years, trained and not trained of Hamedan)
The aim of this study was to determine the effects of communication skills training on attitudes towards the dispute in 35-28 years old youth of Hamadan. The research method is experimental with pretest-posttest control group, study population were 35-28 years old youth of marginal and high-risk areas in Hamedan city. 30 members of the statistical community which were volunteered to work with the researcher selected and after pre-test and matching the groups, the experimental group received 8 sessions of communication skills, two groups were tested after that. The questionnaire of normative beliefs about dispute by Karami and Doroudi (1387) was the research tool, which measured 26 questions in 3 sections of normative beliefs about dispute, public opinions about it and the beliefs encouraging dispute as four ranking Likert spectrum. Validity of the questionnaire has been approved by several social sciences and psychology professors and the internal consistency of test was obtained as 0.66. To analyze the data, descriptive statistics was used including frequencies, percentages, graphs, mean and standard deviation and independent and dependent t-test. The results showed that communication skills training to youth has negative impact on their attitude towards the dispute, in terms of reprisal beliefs, public opinion about the conflict, and the beliefs encouraging conflict.
