Investigation of the effect of water levels and irrigation with treatment wastewater on yield and components yield of Triticale plant

Urban wastewater is the most common resource to compensate for water shortages in arid areas. Due to the severe shortage of water resources in Iran, the use and utilization of municipal wastewater and its treatment in agriculture and irrigation is an effective way to meet the water requirements of plants. Therefore, irrigation of forage plants with wastewater is affordable. The experimental design of split plots was implemented as a factorial in a randomized complete block design with three replications in Birjand city wastewater treatment plant. With four irrigation levels (WW, I-W, I.W, I) which include (100% well water, periodicity, 50% well water mixture + 50% wastewater, 100% wastewater), as the main factors, and also, the amount Irrigation water with three levels (I500, I75, I100%) water requirement was considered as sub-factors. The results showed that the treated wastewater with 75% water stress had a significant effect on increasing grain yield, biological yield, number of spikes per square meter and grain protein. Treated wastewater with 100% water requirement compared to other irrigation treatments, has the highest grain yield with an average of 5.4446 tons per hectare. The combined effect of well water and water stress of 50% has significantly reduced the measuring traits of triticale plant, but well water has increased the thousand grain weight.
