Classification of the Country’s Bridges deteriorations and Introduction of Preventive and modification solutions (Case Study: Interurban Bridges of Noor in Mazandaran Province)

Abstract:

Bridges are vital infrastructures in the road and railroad networks which are inevitable in order to reach continuity in junctional points with the rivers or other roads. Building of important and major bridges is always costly which shows its maintenance importance. According to the type and of bridges, situation of the area and working materials, there are different types of deteriorations. Disregarding the prevention of deterioration creation or extension results in complete destruction of the bridges or makes them unsed which burdens huge loss. In this paper, using previous experiences and studies, different types of deteriorations are introduced, then the diversity of bridge deteriorations in Iran is defined. Finally, the audit results of a number of bridges located in Noor region (Mazandaran Province) are studied and different types of the deteriorations in the region are classified to introduce solutions to prevent creation and extention of deterioration.
