Abstract:
Objective

The aim of this study was to study the effectiveness of well-being therapy on depression, sexual satisfaction and quality of life in type 2 diabetic patients.

Method

The research method was asynchronous multiple baseline single-case experimental design. The statistical population of this study was all type 2 diabetic patients in the city of Mashhad in 2019. In this study, 4 people were selected by purposive sampling method, they responded to the depression, sexual satisfaction scales and the quality of life questionnaire. Data were analyzed by visual chart analysis and using the reliable change index.

Findings

Data analysis results showed that well-being therapy is effective in reducing depression, improving sexual satisfaction and quality of life in type 2 diabetic patients.

Conclusion

Well-being therapy as a short-term psychotherapy strategy with positive consequences in individual and interpersonal life can be used to reduce depression, improve sexual satisfaction and quality of life in type 2 diabetic patients
