Criticism Of Article 11 Of The Law On Reducing The Punishment Of Imprisonment

Imprisonment is one of the main punishments in the legal systems of countries. With the passage of the law reducing the punishment of imprisonment, the application of this punishment has changed. For example, Article 11 of this law has an important role in creating a new criminal policy by developing forgivable crimes and halving the minimum and maximum amount of imprisonment.In the present study, the effects of the status of this article, both direct and consequential, have been discussed and the criticisms against it have been divided into four parts, including: shortening the duration of the passage of time; Forgiveness of important financial crimes and crimes against public welfare; Increase of crimes in the direct jurisdiction of the court and disproportion of sentences and punishments with the crime; Has been investigated.
