Sustainable Interfaith Convergence in the Contemporary History: The Case Study of Relations Leading to Sustainable Interfaith Convergence in the Contemporary History of Iran
This article delves into a set of interfaith relations in the contemporary history of Iran. It is claimed that these religions have been prone to a sustainable convergence among Islamic religions. Sustainable convergence refers to those policies which ensure conditions of structural stability and constructive balance between two main religions in a long-term horizon. The present article is an effort to identify and explain two central traits of such endeavors by outlining and investigating historical samples. These two traits are “acceptance of the other” and “recognition of mutual similarities”.
