An Introduction to the Peacock Role in Iranian Islamic Culture and Civilization
With a glance at historical, literary and artistic works, we find that the symbol and role of peacocks in the intellectual and social life of Iranians are of great importance. The peacock as a sacred chicken and paradise has been very much considered in Islamic culture and civilization. Therefore, in addition to the symbolic and profound religious meanings on the pottery, fabric, carpet, mosque and markets, it is also of great use. This article tries to examine the symbol and the role of Tawas and its presence in the artwork of the Ancient period and Islam. This research is of a descriptive-analytical nature and has been carried out by a library method.
