In order to prevent the occurrence of divorce and reduce it in the society, by being aware of the marital conflicts that arise for the family, one can think of a solution to prevent and occur marital conflicts. The aim was to model the coping styles of marital conflict based on the analysis of life cycle changes in couples seeking divorce. Causal-comparative research method based on one-way analysis of variance, second degree curve regression and statistical population of couples seeking divorce referred to family court in the first 6 months of 2018 in East Azerbaijan province. Using purposive sampling method, 200 couples with inclusion criteria were selected as the research sample. The research tool is Rahim Questionnaire (ROCI-II). Data were analysed by one-way analysis of variance and quadratic curve regression using Spss software. The findings of the process analysis indicate that changes in the style of coping with marital conflict at stages of the life cycle of divorced couples are significant. The highest level of coping with marital conflict is in the marriage and childless stages. Also, decreases with the arrival of the first child and has the lowest value during the child's adolescence and increases again in the empty nest stage. (P <0.01). The results indicate that the couple's coping style with marital conflict follows the stages of the family life cycle. It is suggested that couples pay attention to teaching the necessary social skills to the adolescent child and rebuild their relationships with others after the child's adolescence.
