The effectiveness of positive parenting education for mothers of children with ADHD to reduce symptoms and children's academic achievement
The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of positive parenting education for mothers of children with ADHD to reduce symptoms and childrenchr('39')s academic achievement. The research method is quasi-experimental (pre-test and post-test with control group). The statistical population included all children aged 4 to 12 years referred to the useful childrenchr('39')s hospital and the sample included 30 mothers whose children received the highest score in the diagnosis of hyperactivity and were randomly assigned to the experimental and control groups. The test is Connors questionnaire (parent form) and Bamrind parenting questionnaire. Data were analyzed using ANOVA analysis of covariance. Findings showed that positive parenting education is effective in reducing the behavioral problems of ADHD children as well as academic achievement and changing the parenting style of their mothers.
