Just Treatment of Orphans as Viewed by Quran Interpreters

The present paper deals with the conceptual and objective meanings and modes of treating orphans justly. Assuming that justice means allocating everything its due place, value, and right, then the orphans' rights receive extra value and significance, all due to the emphasis the Holy Quran puts on it. In this regard, the understanding and interpretations of various types of the Quran interpreters play a special function. A descriptive and analytical study of the topic may yield various and more vivid outcome regarding the interpreters' definitions and modes of tackling the subject, hence more pragmatic in how to treat the orphans. The objective of the present study is clarification of everybody's duty regarding orphans in general and girl orphans in particular, as indicated by the Quran interpreters of various schools of thought.
