Analysis of Citizens' Satisfaction about a Coastal Strip Space in Port Cities, Case Study: Bushehr City

Beaches are one of the pillars of identity in port cities that reflect the social, cultural and economic values of the city. Although part of the coastline of cities has non-urban functions, a large area of them can still be considered as urban space. Therefore, the present study aiming to analyze the citizens' satisfaction about the coastal strip spaces of cities, has extracted the opinions of users of these spaces in Bushehr. The research approach is descriptive-analytical and based on documentary studies and field observations through a questionnaire. The target population of the study is the residents of Bushehr, 100 of whom were interviewed by purposive sampling. The data were then entered into SPSS software and analyzed using exploratory factor analysis model and linear multivariate regression model. The results of the analysis show that the five factors of "Vitality", "Environmental Comfort", "Ecological Sustainability", "Presence" and "Permeability" have the greatest impact on the level of people's satisfaction about a coastal strip space, respectively. Also, more detailed results show that among the 4 areas studied, the coastal strip of Jofreh has the highest score and the coastal strip of the Naftkesh has the lowest score. Also based on factors scores, the priority of intervention for the coastal strip of Jofreh is related to the "Ecological Sustainability", for the coastal strip of Rishahr is "Environmental Comfort" and for the coastal strips of Lian and the Naftkesh are "Vitality", which on the basis of these, strategies have been proposed.
