The Effect of Entrepreneurs’ Political Skills on the Performance of Companies in Food and Beverage Industry: The Mediating Role of Entrepreneurship Orientation and Ethical Leadership

The purpose of the current paper is explaining the effect of entrepreneurs’ political skills on the performance of companies in food and Beverage industry, with the mediating role of entrepreneurship orientation and ethical leadership. The current research is a descriptive-developmental study in terms of its purpose and descriptive-correlational type in terms of collecting data. The statistical society of the research consisted of 154 companies in food and Beverage industry in Shams Abad town. In order to collecting data 4 standardized questionnaires in entrepreneurs’ political skills, entrepreneurship orientation, ethical leadership and company performance were taken. Data analyzing was done base on the Structural Equation Modelling method. The result showed that entrepreneurs’ political skills has a positive meaningful effect on entrepreneurship orientation and ethical leadership, also entrepreneurship orientation has a meaningful effect on the company performance. In the current research the mediating role of ethical leadership in the relationship between entrepreneurs’ political skills and company performance wasn’t confirmed. Therefore, the entrepreneurship orientations can be increased through reinforcing entrepreneurs’ political skills and finally the higher level of company performance will be occurred
