A review of the Factors Affecting the Intensity Radiation of Infrared Night Vision Illuminates
The infrared night vision illuminates are a kind of flare that, with radiation in the near infrared range (700-900 nm) cause illuminates the target in the battlefield and night operations. These illuminates have problems such as low infrared radiation, low burning rate, and so on. Many physical and chemical parameters affect the burn rate and radiation intensity. For example, formulations of pyrotechnic compounds including fuels, oxidants, binders, catalysts, additives, etc. By changing and modifying the formulation, the intensity of infrared irradiation and burning rate can be increased. In this paper, in addition to introducing a brief overview of the infrared night vision illuminates and its applications, referred to the concept of radiometric rules and the method of measuring the intensity of infrared radiation, and then the formulations used in infrared illuminates will be discussed.
