A Survey of Criminal Liability for Immoral Computer Game Production
Electronic developments, especially in the field of computer games, have occupied many aspects of its users at various levels. Computer games can be categorized into three groups; first: Those games produced predominantly or exclusively for entertainment, although they do make the user nervous. Second: games with predominant or exclusive therapy applications. And third: the games whose overriding or exclusive effect is to encourage the user to commit a religious forbidden or an unlawful act. Now, if the user of the game as a result of encouragement and stimulation of the third group commits a crime, who will be responsible? With a descriptive-analytical method, the present article tries to answer this question according to Islamic law and Iranian legislation system.
