Abstract:
Active presence of jurisprudence in the individual and social fields of life requires to define relevant subjects and consequently their exact meaning. However, this presence has been mostly in common fields such as worship and transactions, not art. Therefore, it is necessary to enter the field of semantics, to develop the methods of discovering meaning from other fields of jurisprudence to define art and its relevant subjects. As the jurists have not proposed a clear definition of jurisprudential semantics, this study extracts the jurisprudential semantics and its common methods among the Shia jurists. Then, by examining the arguments of jurists in using the method of semantics and its development in the field of art, an attempt has been made to clarify the meaning of art with a descriptive-analytical method. The conclusion is that: Art is a creative activity that brings to the fore the artist's discovery of emotions or scientific perceptions through the lens of a particular skill in the form of actions or forms, the result of which is known as a "work of art."
