Designing the Strategic Management Model of the Physical Education Organization of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran

The aim of this study was to design and preparing a strategic development plan for the Physical Education Organization of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

This study, in terms of descriptive strategy, the path of strategic studies, and in the case of purpose, is a type of practical research. The statistical population of the study consisted of the Managers of physical training of the army of the Islamic Republic of Iran (N=35). The prepared questionnaire contained 89 questions in the field of investigating the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the Physical Education Organization of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran. To determine the validity of the questionnaire, 10 sport management professors considered and approved the questionnaire. To measure the reliability, Cronbach’s alpha and SPSS software were used and this value based on the questionnaire’s data is 0.8 which shows the used questionnaire has required reliability.

The results showed that there were 8 strengths, 13 weaknesses, 9 opportunities, and 11 threats in the case of the Physical Education Organization of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran. After analyzing them in SWOT matrix and group discussion, it was found that the Physical Education Organization of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s strategic position is in the WO area and finally, according to the strategic analysis, the necessary strategies for developing the Physical Education Organization of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran were prepared.

The most important necessary strategies for the Physical Education Organization of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Iran are, Development and strengthening of international relations, especially with sports organizations of Islamic countries and the police of the world, Organizing to focus on applied and medal-winning disciplines to gain honor and top platforms in domestic and foreign competitions, Utilization and use of sports veterans in sports decisions of physical education, Short-term and long-term planning for the development of public sports in coordination with the relevant federations, the presence of experts in the field of public sports in all public sports venues at specific times, allocation of appropriate budgets and credits and its purposeful distribution in basic disciplines and medals Brought.
