Role of Dignity of Academic identity and Perceptions of classroom activities in Predicting Student's Mastery and Performance goal orientation
The purpose of the present study was to investigate the role of dignity of academic identity and perceptions of classroom activities in predicting the orientation of mastery and performance goals in students. The research method was descriptive and correlational. The study population included male high school students in Tabriz in the academic year of 2019-2020. Using multistage cluster sampling, 197 students were selected. Data were collected using the Migdeli et al. (1988) Achievement Goals Orientation Questionnaire, Was and Isaacson (2008) academic identity status, Gentry and et al. (2002) Perceptions of Classroom Activities Questionnaire. Data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis by SPSS software. Results showed that perception of classroom activities, academic identity status could predict variances in students' mastery and performance goal orientation.
