Examining the jurisprudential ruling on starting a verbal relationship with a non-mahram
One of the important fields in communication sciences and also in communication jurisprudence is the starting point of communication. In this study, the jurisprudential norms of the beginning of theological communication with non-mahram in several areas: the principle of talking to a non-mahram, the patterns of beginning verbal communication such as logical verbal communication, emotional verbal communication, respectful verbal communication (such as greeting), fun verbal communication (joke) and sexual verbal communication have been analyzed. The result is that any kind of verbal communication with a non-mahram, which is for the purpose of sexual pleasure or creating sexual pleasure in the audient or with the possibility of falling into sin, is contrary to chastity in interpersonal communication and is forbidden, Otherwise, it is permissible as much as necessary (in the broadest sense of necessity and includes any kind of normal religious and worldly needs). Whether it is a need in expressing respect or non-sexual loving affection or in a non-sexual joke. In permissible cases, this communication should be held with the focus on chaste interpersonal communication, that is, by avoiding any kind of words that in conventional Islamic custom are sexual stimulants and carriers of sexual messages. Of course, the use of the Islamic model of "Hello-Answer" at the beginning of the necessary relationship with the non-mahram is still recommended and its answer is obligatory and in unnecessary cases is haram.
